Bonnie

Post by jarvo »

This is my new car as shown in the eBay listing i got her from, my previous FB sedan shell was in much better condition and it was sad to see her go, although, she has gone to a good home and i look forward to seeing her progress, now back to Bonnie...

I haven't started on her yet, she came with a million spares and I am just trying to sort through them all, but i hope to get her on the road in 12 months. Currently she is running a 202 red with HR front end, there is extensive rust in the floor and boot. I hope the repairs are straight forward I don't find too many surprises.

I plan to change the colour from maroon to blue, most likely turquoise or something similar (I still have to check the ID plate to see what colour she originally was) I also plan to add air-con and maybe power windows/central locking, but that's about it

I will hopefully updates on her progress regularly inc pics
Cheers

It was a log splitter that did the damage, won't go into details

Good thing is, some of the damage can be panel beated out and it came with plenty of spares, Luckily enough the rear quarters and roof were untouched, it's just the hanging panels. She is in a bit of a sad state now, but hopefully soon I can bring her back to her former glory

the paint looks metalic or pearl in the pics :? might just be the pics
it's pretty simple if you want to paint it blue, paint it blue it's not stock anyway :ewink: even if it was stock to many people do things to keep other people happy and then end up not being happy themselves

Words of wisdom Harry186. Me thinks "Bonnie" shall become "Bonnie Blue"

I went into the garage today and took off the rear window chrome surround and rubber to find the original paint behind it.
Here are 2 pics of the white roof and madang maroon body

I don't think i've ever seen a maroon one. Can't even picture it. Good luck with the rebuild

Thanks Jimmy...

The only problem is... after seeing the original colour, I am really confused, cause I was going to paint her blue, but now I am thinking I like the original... its all too hard!!!

Also I have to work out how to get it colour matched
