Fuel tank gasket - around sender unit.

Post by Bonkers »

Yesterday I noticed that fuel is slowly oozing out of the point at which the sender wire leaves the fuel tank (FB wagon). I'm not 100% about this as there is a round metal cover shielding my view of it. Is it likely that a gasket needs replacing?
Thanks.

Hopefully it is just a gasket but it's more than likely pin holes caused by rust. Mine was doing similar when filled. I used knead it to seal up the pin holes then put a new gasket in and it's been good ever since.
