Old school tow ball

Post by Trev »

I have put the towbar on the wagon but the hole for the tow ball is smaller than the modern ones even smaller than HKTG ones.
Can you get them to fit still? Has anyone got one? Trev 8) .

Hey Trev, the tow ball I've got on my EK is the old style. I don't know what a standard or normal hole size is, but I just measured the thread sticking out the bottom and it couldn't be more than 15mm. You're welcome to grab it, I never intend to tow anything with that car at least.

Be careful Trev , those old towballs are 1-7/8" not 50mm - they are a bit smaller than the 50mm new style ones and if your hitch is worn it will jump off
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.
