diff reco

Post by fb3800 »

just wondering if any one could give me a ball park figure on a stock diff rebuild or does anyone have a good runner in the shepparton area. Finally got to drive my fb wagon on the road today and doing any speed over 10 mph the centre has almost a grinding sound.

Has got 2 new uni's. I did notice a small amount of play between the front uni caps and the yolk, maybe this could be the cause?

Turns out it was a wheel bearing that had more metal in the oil than in the bearing race. Real nasty stuff.
