No the column is a perfect length for me (I don't have to reach out to hold the steering wheel), I had the seat in about where my legroom would be okay and the steering felt comfortable. Then if I want to I can always tilt the steering wheel up and drive it like a T Bucket

Painted inside bumpers

Old and new

Doof Doof Rattle Rattle box in

New Steering shaft

Motor back out to repaint engine bay

Bracket made up for radio

Now you see it
