As far as I'm aware, going by what I've read on here  , I can have a 308. 327's the biggest for FB's?
Although knowing vicroads or whoever governs it ( no doubt they'd be wa**ers   ) It probably changes like they change they're undies!

i was on a job with an old bloke who rode a 42 harley with a side car
his gear box broke, it was midnight and we were sorting through a biscuit tin ( ! ) of old gearbox parts, none of which would have been classed as servicable 20 years ago
i said you know i can get you a new five speed box for like $400 , itll bolt in and the ratios will help you out with the side car a lot
he said
"yes i know that but it would change the character of the bike "

when i went to sell my highly modified ( for those days ) ek ute i had no end of people complaining at me and wanting to put it " back to standard " ( ideally with me doing the work .... )
why do you want to drive a car that wont stop or go round corners ?

so now i sit some where in the middle
i like synchro gearboxes ,good brakes, prefer the u bolts on the 70 s diff centre and love the noise a hot grey makes, chicks dig it when you actually unlock and OPEN the door....
your car and everything on it is the result of your choices
and you can always change it back !
Remember....this is a recreational activity !
