Colzy, thanks mate.. Yeah sounds good
Made up a bracket for the heater, it'll be plug welded to the firewall under the dash in the center. Demister shoes are in, now to run the ducts back to the heater and the hoses from the engine.
The twin manifold had a couple dodgey holes drilled in it, big thanks to FantaC's son for welding them up... he also built up a section on the back of the manifold copying the orignal vacuum outlet that i could drill and tap into for my PCV. Its been linished back to shape now but no piccies.

Also gave the manifold a light polish
Threw the old handbrake brackets in the bin and started again, i welded them in in the wrong spot then after cutting em out i found some tube the right size and realised there was a much simpler way of doing it, i spaced it down off the body 65mm with some telecom box to clear the tailshaft then welded the tube to it with a slice in the bottom for the cable. And made a tag off the rail for a return spring.
Got my carbies rebuilt, next is to put the linkages back together and run the fuel lines.
Got my spats painted up, they were painted in a red oxide under the grey, so that when its time to cut them back ill cut through the grey on the leading edges to bring up the red oxide to match how the rest of the car looks. And theres my good buddy 'demon' haha
After my manifold was welded up (done at work) i went around one night to linish it back and give it a bit of a polish but it wasnt where i left it.. i left my jumper there one night and come back the next day and one of the guys put it on top of the hoist, trying to out do him i put his jacket on top of one of the trusses in the shed, that was pretty much roof height so i thought he couldnt go any better.. clearly i was wrong, he climbed up the water tower outside and hung it up on that haha
Bought a few things from mooneyes
Been finishing off the exhaust, the system i bought pretty much went straight from under the spare wheel well up towards the bumper and hung a fair way under it so i bought some bends and kicked it back up after the wheel well aswell as brought a second pipe out the side of it to run two little 2" droopies together, just poking out from under the bumper. This is as far as ive gotten with it so far, next is to extend the pipes out and weld on the droopies.
Found a handy site for cutting out pipes/exhausts. You punch in what size pipe you want to cut, what size pipe its going into, what angle its going in at, the thickness of material and what size paper your using and itll print off an exact scale template of how you need to cut your pipes. All you do is print it off, cut out around the lines, lay it over your pipe, trace it then bobs your uncle.
Heres the link -

Also bogged and smoothed the b-pillars where the seatbelt anchorage plates were welded in, ready for a blow over along with the door rubber channel thingos where i scratched em up a bit trying to get the original rubbers out

decided to pull the back doors off to get at the rubbers.. could tell it was the first time theyve ever been off aswell.
Few photos of the handbrake system finally all finished and the rear shocks in etc. Plus a few pics for Doller...
Until we meet again.........
