EK with 186 does it need Engineers cert in Vic?

Post by wickedq400 »

Hi
Bought EK with 186 and HR front.Does it need engineer's certificate for rego?Car has been registered with that engine number (just been cancelled).Vicroads website says if changing motor to different type it needs VASS approval. They are both straight sixes so are they the same type or not?car also has Hadfield chassis kit so it should be strong enough.
Any help much appreciated

I would get a RWC and go reregister it and say nothing unless the rego people do  .

If all the numbers match and it was last regoeod like that it shouldn't be an issue. Especially seeing it was just cancelled.
