so its not that early how far down the run would it be?
Mick if only I could count time sitting on the chair as working on the ek 8)
I ve finnished painting underneath as Im going to drive it on the road its as good as its gunna get have to mask up continually now but hopefully its onl once maybe twice more still deciding on how to paint it weather to do the jams and put it together then a couple more coats then clear or to color and clear the lot then put it together as the doors are still inside and Im out of room Im a little lost.

Im still painting .hopefully i go back out side soon and do a bit of rubbing and put another coat on.

ImageIm still painting might be able to put the subframe back on tomorrow,as Ive run short on paint and thinners hopefully i can start fitting the doors in a couple of days and Finnish painting. :D

its an acryiic Its not going to end up cheaper as Ill be getting another 6 liters when the body shop opens again but quit forgiving to use thou.sofar ive only cleared the door jams and firewall when ever I finish cleaning the bolts hopefully i can put the subframe back on and paint some black on top of the dash is what im ment to be doing at the moment.
Looking for a better wheel than this 1 also.

gday are there any posts all ready about the correct order to putting the ek back together ?
I got these scuff plates from rare spares and arent happy with the finish what you reckon black or send them off to the cromer ? the pic makes the polished zinc look better than it looks close up

there going to the cromer but the old mans stingie and reckons there all right but you gota take the part you can get.

When I just got my licence I was doing a HK in a similar color. Sold it before it was finished :oops:

Im still buggerising around didnt now where as much as I wanted done while I was off work and been working like a slave at work so not too much has happened after work in the last couple of weeks I painted the cross member with por paint earilier on in the project and $*#@ that up grandly to be honest so ive wasted the last week getting it off the member and trying to paint the member which hopefully Ill paint on the weekend got the springs back today so hopefully i can get it off the stand and the weight back on the wheels I m a little futher along than the pic Ill write a better story one day as to my cappor.As the old man dont do too much these days some things take me a while to get right.

I finely opened a box of stuff Ive brought off the net and found it all to be there and couldn't find something wrong with at least one part.
Thanks streetneat (even thou i brought the bits from you that long ago i doubt you remember selling them).
We finely got the doors to fit nicely strange how the openings relaxed a bit while the doors where off for years. Not the little bit we lost during repairs :lol:

I would like to say ill paint it its final coat today but lets hope Ive finished by the end of the week.
