G'day Colzy,
Soda blasting, now superseded by diamond blast (better finish apparently) is about 3k for a complete job on an EK
There's a guy in naval base that does it, I'm yet to get my pv done but it was booked in before the guy did his knee late last yr.
He is back in action now.
Stripped Bare Diamond Blast
Unit 4/ 35 Weston St Naval Base WA 6165
(08) 9437 9228
The alternative is to get ol school sand blasting on all the strong areas like pillars n edges, at around 1k, and paint strip the flat panels.
Good luck champ.

Re: blasting??
Colin,
We used a mob in Armadale , can't remember their name (too many beers ago!), but would be easy to find if you asked around.
They done my bro in laws XB GT Coupe using all different media for each different area.
EG: Sand blast the under chassis.
Walnut shell or pastic bead used on different panels depending on their size/shape.
Soda blast big areas such as roof, bonnet and rear quarters.
Very good job and obviously know what they are doing!
Sandblasting can be very destructive to body panels, but then Soda blasting is the opposite, and not in a good way like you might think!
Soda is very gentle, but that is the problem! It will only take off paint one layer at a time and not abrasive enough for heavy rust etc.........very time consuming, which = $$$$$$
I would track down the mob in Armadale and get a quote from someone who will do the job quicker and properly, which = much less $$$$$$$$
All the best......Bob.
