Carburettor Reco Brisbane

Post by fbvan »

I have seen the price of a reconditioned Carburettor on Ebay. But they are in Melbourne and the price seems a bit steep. Up to $220 now after being $180 not long ago.
Anyone used a good place in Brisbane?

Ipswich carburetors if he didn't go under

Used to use Akses in Buranda but they are no more did a good job but were wankers but when working with cars you are dealing with egos

I bought a reco'd Holley from Recarb on the Sunny Coast. They do a 350 redone to 330cfm specifically for the 6 allegedly. I say allegedly because I bought one and after 3 changes of jets and 2 changes of power valves and the 2 dyno runs it's now finally running well ;)

Still, even at its worst it is better than the WW that was on it when I bought the car.

Actually on that, and not to hijack the thread, but can anyone tell me if there's any major advantage to running a manifold designed for the Holley rather than through an adaptor plate?

Sorry, back to the point, they do reco as well as selling reco'd and new gear. And also sell via Evilbay too from memory.
