Post by Craig »

This is my first post so I hope it works. I "won" George on e-bay (the only bidder) caught 2 planes to get to Brisbane one Friday, Drove 4 hours each way on Saturday to pick him up stayed in Brisbane on Sat night. my 18 year old son and I then drove about 8hrs to Tamworth on Sunday and the remaining 5hrs home on the monday the car didn't miss a beat the whole way and used about 12l/100ks not too bad for tripple carbs initial plans are to get it registered (drove home with permit) and fit seatbelts as we have a few kids oh and lose the radio http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x49/ ... Looks like a good buy Craig, did you buy it for yourself or your 18 year old son?

that's the one that turned up for $5500ish in QLD just after FB search paid $7500ish for one on the other side of the country, not that he's unhappy with his purchase
gets me to thinking how ebay is spreading cars allover the place, i sold a '64 chev from western sydney to SA this thread, a guy from nyngan buys a car fron QLD, FB search lives in QLD buys a car from WA
don't really think to much of this would have happened pre internet

Thanks everyone and thanks Nomad for sorting out the pics :D the car is for me wanted one since the late eighties (wow that was long ago)the Grey will stay, wheels will get dress trims and white walls but I am also considering at a set of dragways or similar The main goal is a sixties style streeter but something I can jump into on weekends and just drive whether its 300ks or 3 ks (dont get to drive during the week)E-bay is crazy we spend thousands for gear we havent seen but it does spread the love 8)
