Hey Scotty, na not going for the boring original black, its going to be two tone green like the body colours, no airbrushing for me, as much as i like airbrushed wheels, i think it wont suit the look im trying to acheive.

Hey Bebop
Keep in mind that as soon as you fit seatbelts to a vehicle that hasn't previously had them, for registration the car MUST be engineered/blueplated AND the belts/fittings must meet Aus standards. If you install and don't have them blueplated, there is the potential for many other legal and rego issues besides the obvious insurance problems.
Does't mean you shouldn't install the ones you've sourced of course, but best to be aware of all the relevant issues.

Hey Guys, painted the steering wheel and other bits n peices in 2k base coat, will be applying the clear over the week-end.

I had a drying booth like that at my old place.... Back bedroom! Was awesome.

Looking good Joe, but will look even better clear coated.

What did you use for the horn button Joe?? Was thinkin along similar lines for the FB.

Hi Dave, the centre horn button is from johns rod and custom, p/n: CB H35.

Some pix of the motor, have flushed out water jackets with my high pressure cleaner, new welch plugs, steel timing gear, clean tops of pistons, new gaskets and rear main seal:

Flywheel machined and new red motor clutch and pressure plate fitted:

Motor assembled and painted:

Its alive! connected a battery and after a bit of coughing and backfiring it came to life, sounded like a flathead,cool!

Motor in car with plenty of bubble wrap everywhere, dont want any scratches or chips.
