Bought some new ball joints the other day and turns out they dont have any grease nipples
Apparently they dont need greasing
I cant see how they'd last...
Has anyone used these before or heard of em, if so what are they like ?
Cheers,
Brodie

I was told by the bloke at AutoBum that they last just as long as the greasable type. I ordered a set of 4, and what I ended up getting was greasable on the bottom but not on the top.

Sealed-for-life bearings and joints are pretty common... not many nipples under a modern vehicle.

Righto cheers guys.
Doller, same here.. got new lowers aswell and they're still greasable.
I spose you'd need them like that with the way most people are with their cars these days, just driving them into the ground

Common failure is from people who over fill the bj's with grease bursting the rubber boot and allowing dirt etc in, the sealed units will last longer if no one can bugger the seals.

Your right.. They're not fun at all !
That stupid steel ring in the edge of the seal is too big to go through the hole. Had to take a bit out of the wishbone to get it too fit
THEN when you go to tighten them up you cant get a ringy on the nuts because that seals in the way again!
If you can get a normal ball joint i'd recommend it.. save yourself some trouble.
