How you doin with it Gaz ?

And how is it on the road , Have you had any trouble with the axles or wheel bearings , does it aquaplane much on a wet road .
How does it handle in the corners with the weight over the front and skinnies .
Is the interior comfortable ie shifter in a nice spot , console not to wide , dash a nice height .

What areas would you do differently ?

And my favourite photo is the one in the shed with the summit cover over the guard , Its a real racer look :)
Easily distracted angle manipulator extrordinaire.

The Black Beast is doing very well Harko. It has over 9000kms on it now. I am very happy with the layout and functionality of the whole car, everything from guages, shifter, pedals, seat height to the suspension and custom swaybars etc were done after many hours of testing, research, trying and replacing before the final position or item was selected....... a lot of mucking around but it is worth the extra time and effort in the end.

No troubles with bearings, axles, brakes etc.

It does not Aquaplane and is very easy to drive, doesn't "bumpsteer" or wander, only time it has "aquaplaned" is when the right pedal is pushed a bit far........or is that just called "gets untidy"
As far as handling, the Torrie frontend gives an excellent turning circle and it corners like it is on rails as it has custom built swaybars (by Pedders) front and rear. The car rides really well and has no rattles or squeaks even after 9000km :D :D :D :D :D ...... not bad for a "trailer queen"

The only issue I have had was a broken Rocker stud on the head and a blown rear main seal.
I have just got a new cam from Crower that suits the injection engine combo, much more aggressive midrange and top end, should be in and running next weekend   .

When one "puts in" as much time, effort & care in the build as you did Gaz...there should'nt be any major problems with the Black Beast for many years and K's. Long live the EK.

Well the Black Beast has been officially registered for 12 months and has to go back into MVR to be inspected for new rego, I had it up and checked everything underneath and touch up the exaust coating, thought I would take a couple of pics as she doesn't look to bad for 12,000kms and 12 months in our wet humid conditions.

Sorry Mick, forgot they are all different names from state to state....MVR is our "Motor Vehicle Registry" and because of the cars mods it must be inspected by them every year.
