Hey guys, I've got a problem with major back firing? I have a 186 with VH electronic ignition, Replaced Dizzy cap, Coil, Rotor. Alot of spark to all leads, But #6 plug dosen't fire-Have replaced plugs No change? any ideas!

Lead? Swap the lead with one of the others that are working to see if its a dud lead or not. Whatever you do make only one change at a time so you know exactly what is not right.

Well after new dizzy cap, rotor, coil, plugs it now seems to be a dropped valve :shock: all this in prep for the couple of thousand miles for Narranderra!!! Hope this will be fixed in time to load up and have the wife and family happy that we'll get there and back!

Well Well What a bunch of idiots I am!!! Not a dropped valve! It was.....








Wait for it!!!

#6 and #2 spark plug leads were around the wrong way!!!!!! :roll: :roll: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops:
Alls good thats ends good
Now just need to replace door rubbers, fit heater, find a spare wheel and clean and polish!!

firing order 1.5.3.6.2.4
i did the same on a v6...

I had the firing order relayed over the phone and didn't write it down, so chinese whispers and got the order arse about!!lol
