Bit more done, finished all trims, bonnet bird mounted and other stuff that wasn't worth taking pics of....

If you are fitting trims to an undrilled door then I use masking tape to prevent slip ups that damage the paint, first thing is to mark the tape where the holes are required..... I also mark the position of the top of the trim on the tape (just for a safety check....once the holes are drilled it is too late!) When using a "Non standard" trim you have no reference from another car.

Drill the holes, after the tape is removed I use a small artists paint brush and apply grease to the newly drilled hole, this will help stop rust developing........

This is the FB top front door trim, I profiled it with the die grinder so it fits snuggly into the EK trim.....

These clips are from Rare Spares........... spring loaded with 3/16" threads.

All done.... and bonnet bird on (Sue really wanted the Bonnet Bird, so what Sue wants, Sue gets  )

Modified front door chrome trim fitted to back door, modified back door trim fitted to front door :? :? :?

Good ol' Bill Cosby...... one funny bloke....

Nomad, the steering column is stock EK, the steering wheel and boss kit is $*#@ knows brand as I raided it out of one of the other sedans before I sold it, looked rusty and crappy, bit of TLC and about half an hour on the buff and hey presto, one new looking wheel (for free). I will try to track the brand down for you, Aust (Mod) has this wheel on his FB so maybe Andrew can cast some light on the breed of this wheel.
