It has become apparent that Bigturd doesn't like young people, even though he uses them to maintain a steady income.
We are being used and abused!

Now... this is my other ride.



The rear fender sits closer then 10 mil to the tyre, now when I fitted this i did all the equations and figured out the tyre flex for when I am doing speeds exceeding 50km/h, It really is simple math....


Kiid if you learn all this and post it on the forum, you will make yourself look smart (while your at it you should also brag about certain qualifications you have) and also inform other people that you have too much time on your hands. Oh yeah, while you're at it, would you mind figuring out the meaning of life? I would really like to know

Oh yeah, there is also the other option which seems to be much simpler and more popular amongst the modified car scene.

What I was reffering to was not the amount of tyre flex at speed, at the end of the day a rotating mass with a diameter of 24" will be 24".

The wheel does not travel only in an up and down movement but also follows an arc with the pivot point being inboard of the rear edge of the tyre therefore exacerbating the movement and therefore there is a requirement for the overall wheel and tyre combo to operate at an angle within the wheelhousing.

And in response to J's apparent personal attack; to coin a phrase so often relied upon by people of his generation...Whatever!

So what your saying is that I'm going to have rebound, bump and static movement issues ( essentially because of the live exle rear ) becuase my wheel tubs are not large enough in diameter, and the wheels too close to the outer guard?...

Watts linkage, the panhard rod and trailing arms are some things wich can be used to deminish the problem. If that were the case..

Have you started on the front at all ? Really looking forward to seeing all four wheels love the look on the rear,A small question the tubs are they the finished product or just for sizing etc,

Havent got to the front yet. I'm trying to find a narrower set of 20's...

Those tubs are actually card board... The finished product will be rolled on the inner edge to take away the jaggered lood.

Now all you gotta do is get the front happening and I will scoff the pie down willingly.

By the way, I usually take my pie with ice cream and some type of chocolate sauce, not fussed if it is a gnash, rasberry infused jus or just a plain old blob out of a Cotties bottle.

Just remember to make it a big pie, I might have been the most vocal but many here said you couldn't do it.

Looking forward to seeing the video footage of the car rolling on 4 22" rims and the steering actually working as well.
