scary clunks!

Post by muddy »

hi all

got a scary noise coming from the old girl, she's saying something about fixing my bloody car and getting it out of the driveway!

in all seriousness, the fb has developed a loud clunk on acceleration, and also going uphill. i thought it may have been the diff centre (tried to change it, but could get an axle out, so i put it back together) but on further thought i reckon it might be a broken gearbox mount. i dont really have a great deal of time to look in the next few days, so has anyone had one before, and does this sound like the case?

cheers all

Good to hear you've sorted it out James... not a hard job to replace the mounts once they come in.

Check out "stutter rap" next time you're on youtube... might help with any qualms about the Morris!
