VH40 Booster disassembly

Post by vmx-mxr »

Does anyone have any idea on how to pull apart the PBR VH40/44 booster.

I have split the vacuum chamber but can't figure out how to release the spindle (attached to the diaphragm) out of the cylinder casting. There is obviously a simple means of releasing the damn thing but stuffed if I know !?

A manual would be very helpful if any one out there has one. Doesn't have to be original - a copy is fine and then it can be scanned and added to the section Jimmy was trying to get off the ground where fitting instructions etc can be posted for everyone's benefit.

Cheers

As for stripping down the booster finally figured it out after a clue from another post stating they unscrew.

You have to drop a lock pin (I used a pop rivet) down into it and fit into a hole in the diaphragm shaft that stops it turning the undo the cylindrical nut holding the diaphragm plate onto the shaft. All too easy so now I can blast the bits and get 'em chromed and ready for a new kit.

Still is anyone has a manual that would be even more helpful.
