Freedom of speach is one thing but respect is another , say what you like respectfully to others and no problems will prevail.

Couldnt agree more....

Your all pissed because I said what I thought, which is bs because I never aimed anything at anyone on this forum bar that ratbox who shits me with hes sarcastic remarks, and jimmy who posted something which I didnt see appropriate in a for sale thread, obviously.... I couldn't care less what most people on this forum think so it doesnt phase me about the few who have added themselfs into this whole thing and assisted in blowing it out of proportion... Aiden, you in particular seem to have a little too much interest in all of this.

I didn't think that I needed to justify taking down this thread but if you all must know I did so because I'm sick of hearing all the negative s*&% people have to say about this... The whole thread was like this except a few good comments from Aiden, rollinlow and some handy advice from harko the sheet metal master :p. And it was always full steam adhead on the that will look s*#& comments untill I had a photoshop image of how the car was going to look roughly, which IMO looks awesome. Then most of the comments stoped. So I just think if people are only going to focus on the bad points, whats the use?....... I'll post some pics up once its done if I'm still around. But untill then I'm not interested in displaying this, or any of my other cars on the forum....

I'm refering to the argument aiden... Not the wheels topic.

F(*$ the spelling, I was only trying to get a reaction from that guy. And it worked. Even tho he thinks he prooved me wrong because he posted like 10 cars after he told me he'd built hundreds to my "one" which is why I made that comment...

I'm not pissed, mildly amused especially after you went to the effort of deleting all your posts. Last person to do that was Smooth a few years back.

Aren't forums fun! You've obviously not posted on the HAMB! This forum is great and really friendly compared to what can happen on the HAMB....

Thick skin is a necessity I believe for most forums as you are putting what you do out there for all to see especially if it hasn't been done before and any one can and will comment whether you like it or not. The trick is not to get caught up in the negative's.
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.

I figured 5minutes of deleting to save weeks, or months of this was probably going to be worth it... I'm glad you find it funny :)

Opinions are great. But when it gets to the point where its mostly negative input, it's too much. People don't think its going to work so why sit here beating your head against the wall telling them how it could work, when they don't want to hear it and are more excited by the fact that someone is potentionally failing...... As an example, comments like sunnytims are great, point out things your not sure of that I may not be aswell.. But crap like yeah looks mad on the ground but won't drive like that  No kiddin, thats what air bags are for..

Maybe I'm wrong to say people shouldn't add negative input. I personally don't do it which, i guess makes it hard for me to understand why others do.... Same with the for sale thread, that really got to me

I would hate to see you at a car show with your car, someone might walk past and say something negative about it and you would either start a fight or burst into tears!
Prove them wrong! Trev 8) .

i'm guessin' burst into tears  don't talk yorself up you haven't proven you've done one car yet, you've bought an EK and cut the floor out of it, i can do that in my sleep, like i said i've been doing this car thing for the best part of 30 years so most of my pics are not digital and i'm not stuffing around scanning them etc etc for yor benefit

don't ever remember anybody telling you that yor not allowed to have those wheels just in our opinions they'll look shit if you can't handle negative comments it's prolly best that you don't post anything

just as a point of interest with people saying you'll even have trouble getting the front wheels to fit, in my pics there's a flat black with flames EK it has HR disc front with stock 14x5" HK wheels they have very little outward dish and scraped on the guards

and finally keep slagging me and i'll keep f#%king up yor threads don't mention me and i'll go away pretty simple :?

Your right, I would full on, break down and put myself in a hissy fit over such a statement    Your a bunch of nut bags... Seriously, if your taking my comments that way I'm writing them wrong..

Go for it ratbox, hack away at my threads. Everytime someone ask, or if it fits I'll voice my opinion, after all. It is the negative feedbackfbekforum.com...

Ive done alot more than just cut the floor out :)

anybody can write anything on the internet pictures go along way to proving something and the only pictures we've seen is an EK with the floor cut out and some ill fitting wheels jamed in the arches

this thread is starting to remind me of another thread not so long ago, when the guy was questioned he picked up his bat and ball and went home aswell

so where is the car sheparton? i've got some mates that live there maybe they could come round have a look and prove me wrong

I don't need to prove anything to you for starters. And as convenient as this will sound I lost all the build pics when an external hard drive crashed on me.... Actually said that in this post a few months back, but obviously its gone now.... There are some chassis rails we made in the for sale section i used when it was first built... And I think my old diff might be in there somewhere too?

As if I'd want anyone who associated with you near my house   ... Not a serious statement, But i laugh.... Its in shepp at my old mans shed, he's an engineer so all the equiptment is there. I've moved to bendigo and have no room atm...

I have to weigh in on this one,

Can we all just take a deep breath, and cool down...I have read this entire thread from start to finish in one hit and I think I now understand what is going on.

For those of us who have been around for a while we have seen all sorts of trends come and go, and I am sure that as the years roll on we will see even more that we could not have ever conjured if left to our own devices.

There will always be younger members looking to the experience base for not just knowledge and assistance, but also for reassurance in their dreams and visions.

We have to learn that we are now entering that point in our history that children belonging to Generation Y are at an age where they are now voting in elections (No wonder the country is so stuffed up), driving cars and riding motorbikes (No wonder so many people are getting hurt) and even purchasing classic motor vehicles with designs on how they are going to make their mark on the modified car seen. (Why we see some really f&%$#d up cars)

This has been the most overindulged generation western culture has ever produced since the fall of the roman empire.

This has been the first generation to grow up with payed for childcare, constant engagement, and "That's lovely Darling" from their mothers every time they express an opinion.

These self absorbed individuals are now finding it very difficult to interact with other generations as the givens of the past (like; you will need to work hard, and be loyal to the boss so that you may enjoy your meagre existence) are being resisted by the expectations of the moment (like; I have to be payed at least $100K per year so that the boss has the pleasure of my attendance unless something better is happening elsewhere)

Generation Y does not understand the concept of "Delayed Gratification" they want it now, nor are they capable of others not just disagreeing with them, but to also have the gall to express their malcontent with what can only be described as the "visions" offered by the Y generation prodigy.

Us older blokes need to understand and empathise with Gen Y if our wonderful hobby is to continue in any form.

We need to understand that they were never spanked for setting the house on fire, their parents discussed their feelings about having to live in a tent.

Their teachers at school never berated them for spelling mistakes, they congratulated them for making an effort.

Gen Y people are not so much delicate as incapable of functioning in any environment that can induce conflict or stress.

When it comes to cars, they see one car with 22's and a motor mountain through the bonnet, and paint that looks like it is still flowing and a stereo that is able to replicate the delicate nuances of a london philharmonics rendition of Vivaldi's 4 seasons, (although all they want to listen to is 50 cent), with no idea or concept of how long, or how many people are involved in creating a car like that, let alone the amount of money. When was the last time a car was built in six months (Equivalent to 15 Gen Y years) cost $10k from start to finish and was driven 2000 k's to the show ever won a major award.

Why? I hear you ask...

Because they are delusional...

Because their entire life to date has been all gum drops and puppy dogs.

So next time, ratbox, devilrod, trev and others wish to provide a genuine asked for opinion, please consider the age of the reader and their ability to accept their opinion as just that, as opposed to a personal attack on everything they hold so dear to their personal being.

As for you Kiid61, soho or whoever you like to call yourself, GROW UP AND STOP YOUR SNIVELLING, YOU LITTLE SNOT!!!!

Don't ask the question if you are afraid of the answer, you want big wheels....do it and shut up!!!

Don't expect to get on here and continue to bang on about it simply to fulfill your need for further affermation from as many strangers as possible.

That's what facebook is for!!!

And While I am at it, the same goes for J and any other snivelling, whingeing Gen Y girls blouses who can't handle a bit of critisism.

You are right, you don't have to post pics, until you do though you are a wishful thinking liar whose word is worthless.

Grow up girls!!!

Just in case the administrators have read down this far, maybe we can split the forum up into Gen y's and the rest.

That way most of us can share and discuss ideas without having to worry about each other's Feelings.

And then we can have a Gen Y section where they can sit around and tell each other how "awsome" or "Legendary" or "Knarly" they are.

You know...like the kiddies table at the nationals so they don't bother the grown ups.

Once again...just an opinion.

Who said the rant was dead?
