Re: Canopy for ute

Shame it had an undisclosed issue. I learned a lot about selling from this forum. a) I'll tell you everything I know about what I sell, in good faith. Warts and all. b) If it isn't what I said it was, I'll take it back and refund your money. c) I'll sell it to you for what it owes me, or if you need...

Re: Canopy for ute

You could make a lot more room in that engine bay if you swapped the supercharger snout pulley for a smaller one.

Just saying for a friend

Re: FB ute

302 lifters are the right diameter, but are HEAVY.

Doesn’t seem to be any signs of pinging. Any chance that the top ring had lost all gap and was pushing on that crown land?

Must have been a lifter famine at some stage. Of the half dozen or so blocks I pulled down looking for a crank, very few had lifters left in them.

Lasers.... I needs me some lasers.

Imagine the Star Wars/Nightrider shenanigans I could get myself into

Cool idea for marking out though. Better than my stand-by blue painters tape.

Re: Tow bar for EK sedan please

Re: Harv's FED thread

If it goes pear-shaped, I can use my right hand to toss the laundry, push in the fuel cutoff and switch off the magneto. That should kill it. If I am passed out (like the dude in BS’s video) then it is harder. There is a battery master isolator on the rear of the FED. Looks like that is what the fir...

Re: Harv's FED thread

Hmm... more to think about. Hadn't thought about it sticking the other way. That WW clip is looking less and less acceptable. A clamp cross drilled to the two shafts would be good, but there is so much slop in the overall assembly that I cannot hard mount that way.. I need to be able to adjust (sync...

Re: Chev EK

Sounds familiar - had to do the same mating the XA/B/C master to the Gemini booster. The pushrod I used was not adjusted able, so weld an extension and grind to suit. Hoppers had some good advice - gently probe that bleed port with a bit of fuse wire to make sure it is not covered.

Re: Harv's FED thread

Got too cocky. Had the injector on, worked out the linkage, and plumbed the fuel lines in stainless. Thought I was about done fuel wise. Figured I should set the barrel valve for leak-down (as a rough starting point for idle). Air did not come out as expected. The Enderle barrel valve internals are ...
