Does anyone know if these were the stock original colours for these particular parts (I had always 'assumed' that 'all' the engine parts were GREY ...

yep - looks good alright !

I've just been through the same process - and your shade looks very similar to the one that I ended up choosing by eye. I ended up spraying the metal parts (including sideplate) in 2Pak - came up looking sweet!

I tried to do some research on what the exact colour should ...

Cheers Richard ....

I remember that a mate of mine had "fun" doing this about 6-7 years ago when my original engine was rebuilt. We got it in the end - but I do remember it being a bit tricky.

I also remember the ball on the flywheel etc being imperative for correct timing - which I why Im a ...

Removal of engine Side Plate ?

Hi ...

Can anyone suggest tips or things to look out for, when attempting to remove a Side Plate off a grey motor? Has anyone attempted this recently?

(I want to replace the one that's currently on the car (it's chromed) with a stock grey side plate.)

I'm pretty sure that the Distributor needs to ...

Hi Stweart;

Just another thought ...

Have you had a chat with the guys over at the FE-FC Forum? That particular forum is VERY active (much more so than ours currently is), and they frequently post Suppliers - as well as associated reviews of such! To my knowledge, they have not had any issues to ...

Hmmm .... I dont agree. I say this ...

Ive been thinking of dropping a Brake Booster on the FB for a while now - instructions would come in handy

Robbo ...

Yeah - exactly.

But as you point out - would be great to get an opinion from FB/EK drivers and owners on these tradesmen and the quality/pricing of their work.

Thanks for the tip Blacky ...

But Im thinking that there must be more than one person in Sydney willing/wanting to do this sort of stuff? Maybe Im wrong?

Other than the work that you do yourself, where to you go for the larger mechanical type repairs.

Maybe it would be good to compile a list or ...
