Original wheel colour?

Post by steveo »

Hi,

I have a Coral pink EK with pink wheels,( which look like they have been that colour for a very long time )..

were the rims originally white when they left the factory ?
I have looked at numerous old photos and can't determine . Advice appreciated

Cheers

Is it a special or standard ? From what I have been led to believe, the rims are the roof colour , so if its a special with a white roof it will have white rims , if its a standard therefore single tone it will have body coloured rims.

There are exceptions, I looked at a very original EK the other day that is grey with a red roof and the rims are grey.
When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

It is a special with darker pink roof , Barrier coral I think ,

wheels are light pink as the body .
Based on your comments this is probably as it was .

Thanks
