I need to replace the original "felt" pitman shaft seal in my FB steering box. Does anyone have info on a replacement seal? Thanks, Fraze

I want to do the same Fraze. Thought I’d take shaft and seal to my local and see if they can match with a new one.

It's a 'standard' imperial size TC seal.

1.437" is 1-7/16". So the seal is 1" x 1-7/16" x 1/4".

It will work much better if you remove the pitman shaft & polish the seal area. Many are quite rusty at this age.

Because of a bit of wear on the pitman shaft, I found that i got a bit of seepage past the seal using 90 oil so I cleaned that out and filled the steering box with Penrite steering box grease and all is good now, no leakage since. cheers, Fraze
