When was the last time you saw one of these? These were popular back in the day as tow trucks. They have a nice little 259 V8 and go very well. Factory RHD as well. They came out at a time when Studebaker was going down the tubes. They did a deal with Dodge to use their rear trays and used a Lark front as the cabin.

It is cool but it's got to go. I'm selling it because I want an FB or EK. I've decided not to have any more orphan cars.

Why would you call it an orphan car. Why be a sheep and collect cars because everyone else wants one.
I reckon there are more 57 chevs, mustangs and 32 fords around than when new.

Hey Bootlegger

I agree. I have always liked oddball cars too. Case in point: The Studebaker was a factory RHD. They are as rare as proverbial rocking horse poo but try to find a sector shaft for one! When you can find the parts they cost more to do up and but you can only sell them for a fraction of the run of the mill Chevs and Fords. I never expect to make money on old cars but I'm trying to be a bit sensible. Probably won't last long - never has in the past.

By the way, for those who are interested, I've put the Champ on Gumtree at a very low price. I'm open to trades as well.

cool little truck mate
When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

Great truck mate. A fellow who used to fix all our MIG Welders at work had a green one. It was a little rough and had a 302 or 351 clevo. I think iv'e only ever seen one other, all restored in red, with a big box on the back. It may be yours. I don't always remember faces, but I think I remember every odd old car I ever saw! I don't know what that tells you!
Anyway, a good old truck and a shame to sell it, but I know what you mean about the Orphan thing.
