Newby FB/EK Ute
Newby FB/EK Ute
Hi All
Just like to share my project with you
EK ute with FB subframe. It is in fairly good condition with new brakes disc brake front end and reco engine but needs work on the floor sections
Started some repairs
Cleaned up the motor & added some carbies
As it is a Bitza I won't be going original with paint & wheels and would like to replace the existing EK plenum grill with an FB if anyone has one for sale or swap
Will keep you updated with my progress
Kel

Hi Kel,
Looks like you know what you're doing so far. Nice work! The engine came up a treat
Good to see that you're staying grey

Thanks for the comments. Have done a couple of bikes in the past but this is my first attempt on a car.
Re: Newby FB/EK Ute
Just an update on my progress over Christmas
Floor now all finished and ready to rolled back over
Found a Christams present under the dash but all good now
Next stop subframe & wheels then I can at least roll up and down my driveway making grey motor noises

Yeah, I had a giggle when you said you want to sell your rotisserie...you'll just want it back again for the next FK.Mick wrote:very good now that you've had practise you want to do another
Can't wait to see the paint go on. What's the colour going to be?

Re: Newby FB/EK Ute
It's funny, my wife said the same thing when I told her I was selling the rotisserie. I'll have to demolise the house and build a bigger shed if I go again. I already have a registered EH parked at my mother inlaws and a couple of bikes in the shed on my to do list. But where there's a will there's a way.MeFB wrote:Yeah, I had a giggle when you said you want to sell your rotisserie...you'll just want it back again for the next FK.Mick wrote:very good now that you've had practise you want to do another

I am painting it a spearmint green colour same as the engine bay. Nice and low with whitewalls and full moon discs are the plan at the moment.
