flip windows

Post by dave a »

my passenger side flip window has a problem with the bit that the locking knob fits on. it comes out of the window. it seems pressed in or something. i tried super glue and silicone but as soon as you try and undo it , off it comes.any suggestions apart from a new window. this one has good chrome and no scratches, very rare.

Hi Dave

The latch has a small roll pin that keeps it on - sounds like its missing.

You could try someone with a tig welder to try and weld it back on for you , or I think it is another one .

Am just pulling mine apart right now , so looking at it it should be possible , just try not to get to much heat in it , little weld , cool , and so on , or it might crack the glass
