Run to Brisbane Tram Museum - May 2012

Where: Brisbane Tram Museum, Tramway St Ferny Grove HOW TO GET THERE: From Samford drive towards the city along Samford Road. Take the first turn right (Tramway Street) after crossing the railway line at Ferny Grove. The Museum is 100m on the left just past the Bowls Club. Look for the large blue museum sign. Parking is available between the bowls club and the museum grounds. [UBD Map 137 L3]

From the city, follow Samford Road towards Samford. When the Ferny Grove Bowls Club and Beach Volley Ball Centre appear on your left, turn left at the traffic lights into Tramway St. The Museum is 100m on the left just past the Bowls Club. Look for the large blue museum sign. Parking is available between the bowls club and the museum grounds. [UBD Map 137 L3]

When: Sunday 27 May - 12.30 to 4.00pm
No food available at site, picnic tables but no BBQ's, Bowling Club bistro next door NOT open Sunday (darn!) so either lunch early or BYO.

Price: Adults $13 Seniors $10 Children $6 Family $38 (Children under school age free)
A bit of Brisbane history, hear stories and descriptions of trams in their heyday, go for a couple of rides on different trams, look through small museum. All staff are volunteers and are passionate about their trams and the history. Hope to see you there.

that was a pretty cool afternoon.the kids had a ball.don't worry paul the wagon made it home in one peice, got a toot and a wave. after all these years thing are still the same. still attracting old diggers in camrys.
