Malcolm,
the last few months has seen very little work on the fb unfortunately. The wiring is in and the engine is running, all be it somewhat messy and just layed in, but yeah, engine is running, battery is in the boot now and i have wired up the surge tank and two pumps etc for that, i need to get the diff shortened and fitted to the car and then i will pretty much be able to move it around (oh and tailshaft). once the diff is in i can do the brakes also.
as far as wiring goes, i've nutted out the front lights so all the original lights run off the commodore loom, and the back should be easy but i need to find a NEW light fitting that will clip into the fb taillight housings.
also i have progressed with the radiator and that is in place and working, i went for a vb-vl commodore radiator as it fit between the inner guard areas and i used a bit of tube to make a lower radiator support that got the radiator down low enough that the bonnet cleared and all that ... it worked out well as the car was setup for a HD/HR size radiator so i didn't need to widen the hole in it to fit the commodore radiator.
space infront of the engine is tight, so im using a VS commodore dual speed thermo and making a custom mount/shroud for it (its narrower than the vn/vr fan) twin thermos ... hmmmm maybe i should have!
still gotta work out mounting of oil coolers and the like but theres plenty of room infront of the radiator for that.
