No good to me - I am NEVER EVER going to build another bloody grey motor
When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

Re: Billet Crank
Geez, you'd have to be a very rich, hard core Grey motor aficionado to spend 5g on a crank.
Re: Billet Crank
At least when the grey blew into pieces, the crank would still be alright.
Really, why would want to spend 5g on a crank, when you would need another 20g on other parts to make it worthwhile.

There's nothing as Sweet as a EK V8
Re: Billet Crank
Tassie,
It'd be cheaper using a Vauxhall L model crank and machining it to fit. My engine builder knows how to do this. But unless you want to spin a grey to 6000 - 7000 rpm all the time it's a waste of money. Really only needed for racing.
Oldnek is on the money. I know of someone whom last year whom spent 20 grand doing up a Repco crossflow grey motor to circuit racing specs. For that kind of money, you'd be better off spending it on a complete supercharged V6 conversion if outright performance is what you want.

Re: Billet Crank
that's it do you want to go fast or fast with a grey motor, like has been said unless you want a serious near race only grey there's not much point in one of those cranks
