Qld chrome plater?

Post by steved57 »

Hi all

Can anyone recommend a good chrome plater in Qld (particularly with die cast) - or am I better off paying the extra freight to send it all interstate?

Tried contacting Wizard Chrome (in Mackay) but nobody home. :huhhh: . Has anybody used, or heard any reports about, either of these companies please: Queensland Chrome Plating - http://www.qldchromeplating.com.au/ ; or Gold Coast Electroplating - http://gold-coast-electroplating.com/default.aspx ?

Cheers

Hey Steve,
I'm no where near Qld but after looking to get my EK bonnet bar chromed (die cast) it seems it is not that straight fwd if you don't want the die cast cancer. Do a search on A Class metal Finishers here in SA " Chrome for Zinc Diecast Parts" as they
claim to be the very few who can successfully treat the cancer. It is not cheap to treat it and their web page explains more. I have no connection with them just a happy customer. Hope this helps.

Regards
Stephen

Thank you gentlemen. Nev, I'll be very interested to hear how your stuff turns out (cos after posting this afternoon I finally got someone at Wizard who'd answer the phone, so I've asked for a quote). Cheers
