Coolride sun visor brackets

Post by thomos60 »

G''day All,
Quick question, should the profile of the brackets to roof match better than what I have going on here?
I am thinking the brackets which I have may be for a ute but not sure?

Can someone please post a photo of a correctly fitted bracket, then I can decide to either swap the ones I have, or get out the angle grinder and cut these ones.
cheers
Thomo

It should fit better than that, it could be from a different model. AFAIK in FB/EK the sedan, wagon, ute & van all have different rooflines & therefore different centre brackets.

I think you're right Dr Terry. The Masterparts lists different "single bracket packages" for FB/EK sedan (7425325), wagon (7425326), panelvans (7425327) and utes (7425328).

Cheers DR and Harv, I was thinking along the same lines.

Harv these are the brackets and sun visor I got off you, you wouldn't have some more brackets stashed under your house would ya?

cheers
Thomo.

Hey Thommo if those fit a van I would be interested in taking them off your hands. It’s unlikely though as they are a bit rare. More likely wagon. In any case it doesn’t look too difficult to massage for a better fit. I’m sure you’ll work it out.

G'day Thomo,

Sorry mate, no more Coolaride parts under the house. Not sure what colour visor I sold you, as I had two and sold the other one as well. If it was a white one (with patina), it would have come off an EK sedan that I wrecked (ex- Tamworth car). If it was a green one with relatively fresh paint, then it came with my FB sedan when I bought it, but had never been fitted. Previous owner had painted it Colleen green to match the car, but had not fitted it.

Cheers,
Harv

Cheers Harv, yep I got the Green one.

Gday Clay, I would be keen for a swap with ones that suit a sedan, but I don't know what I have, I think I will just cut and shut these ones.

thanks men for the help.
