the exhaust flanges are an ebay special... there's a few different mobs selling them and the bends from an exhaust shop out canning vale way, most exhaust shops should be able to sort the bends and reducers etc.. out for you if you know what you need.

do a search on here for log headers theres a few different types.. and this guide

And let the puzzle begin... HQ sump base... Old racing sump a mate had that threw a rod... Random steel I'll figure out the pickup later

Image

Hopefully have it sorted next weekend but it's a good start at least... Still got the dipstick to move and then patch that section as well...

I shall call it FRANKENSUMP!!!

well it might not seem like a lot bit... firewall sorted, holes filled, recess fully welded and cleaned, exhaust scallops fully welded and cleaned, engine mounts fully welded everything primed etc... pretty stoked to be honest.

couple small jobs to go and hopefully body / paint shop

got myself a HQ pickup just needs to be extended an inch or 2 for the sump, but thats a future problem.

When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

This looks promising... better pick an exact colour soon (its down to a few choices at least)

will be straight and primed within a few weeks, probably wont see colour until the new year however.

not really much more to add... need to go through the boxes of parts now and find out whats missing... might need to hit up EKmart yet again
