I did this treatment to my old EJ, came up looking like a factory option
Told a young bloke at a petrol station when he was checking it out that the EJ used to be a police car...............he believed it

I think the speedo looks better if the inner section with the bars on it is left black. It's kinda a bit too much with that section painted white as well.
See the difference in the speedo between the one below (unpainted inner ring) and the one for sale on eBay?

Nah it's more not painting the indicator marks back on. That's why the one on eBay looks a bit too much.MeFB wrote:I think the speedo looks better if the inner section with the bars on it is left black. It's kinda a bit too much with that section painted white as well.

I've since painted the indicator green to sort of match the numbers (obviously not shown )

Have to agree that does look very cool. Love it.
Hey, how did you paint he bars back on so neatly? Did you just mask it, or do something a bit more clever?

Masked them up, but that's the factory green. I did do a silver face with black numbers/marks for a mate to match his auto meter gauges, never took any pics though. But used the same process, diddly and time consuming but well worth the effort.MeFB wrote:Have to agree that does look very cool. Love it.
