Tim Great story mate. Great persistance!
Years ago I used to drive regularily drive past a yard with a few old holdens parked behind a shed. I asked mates who lived nearby to get the guys details. After a few months I ran into a guy in the pub who knew who owned them. After a big night and way too many beers, I forgot everything the bloke had told me and forgot about the cars. With too many jobs at home and struggling with my own project I put them to the back of my mind for "another day". A few months back I was heading north to go Pig hunting and remembered about the "black beast" and sure enough she was still there with her friends. On the way home I sat at that chain mail fence trying to remeber who owned them and searching for a phone number. Being slightly worse for wear and obviously not realising the significance of the old girl, I thought "maybe another day" and trundled off home.

Anyway my loss. Good luck mate and great score! Cant wait to see the resto. Cheers Doller

PS Lesson learnt, drink less and query every old car you see!
