Let's Go Cruisin Mid Winter Cruise - Sunday 11th July

Post by SheilaShoe »

Mid Winter Cruise to Healesville

Sunday July 11th

The second Sunday in July will again provide hardy enthusiasts a cruise on a brisk winter’s day in their street rod, custom, muscle or pre’75 chrome bumper car even if the windows are up and the heater’s cranked. So rain, hail or shine, we’ve arranged reserved parking adjacent the town’s main precinct, kid’s activities and an entrant’s prize pool along with lots to see & do in this famous tourist town.

Start 1: Mornington Register from 8:00am at the Peninsula Lifestyle Centre [behind Bunnings] on Nepean Hwy, Mornington. Be ready to cruise at 9:00am along Eastlink.

Start 2: Bayswater Register at Repco in Canterbury Rd just over the Bayswater Rd intersection from 9:00 am. [Melways ref P64 G1]. Breakfast is available at McDonalds. Be ready to cruise at 10:00 am.

Destination is Healesville. Have a hearty hot lunch in one of the many pubs or cafes, take the kids for a ride on the railway’s trolley car, perhaps go on to the Healesville Sanctuary or just check out lots of cool cars.

Entry $5/car. Entrant’s prizes will be drawn at 2:00pm at the LGC tent along with a Turtle Wax ‘ICE’ best presented award that’s up for grabs.

Sounds like it would be a good one for the club to attend annually if it's on every July.
I sort of went last year, got half way to Healesville and had to go pick up a visor on the other side of the city  , Trev 8) .
