Howdy, I’ve been looking at this forum for a few weeks now and I’m hooked. Don’t own an FB or EK but am lucky enough to have an EJ Special Sedan. Stock as a rock except for some rims. It was given to me by my Granddad when he died; I was 13 at the time. I used this car for the first couple years of having a license and remember fondly of no seatbelts and bench seats. I retired the car when a rebuild gearbox ran out of oil and wouldn’t change gears. Fast forward a dozen years and I have got the bug to get this thing back on the road. A few rust repairs (sills and some other stuff) a lick of paint and it’ll be sweet. Piece of piss. Only problem, no Gearbox. So yeah I’m on the look out for a 3 speed crash to suit a grey.

Thanks for the welcome. The EJ is a bit of an outcast in that the EH guys hate them and they don't fit in with the earlier Holdens. My car has been sitting in my Dads shed for the last 10 years or so and is reasonably good because of it. Thanks to Steve H for the PM about a gearbox but alas the one piece box won't fit. If anyones interested I have an early 3 spd box for swaps.

Welcome Darkness ( thats an evil/gothic sounding username    ).

Don't know why EH owners rubbish the EJ's for :? :? :? EH's look good but so to do EJ's I reckon.

We have a bit of a dig here on the forum with the FB versus EK fans but it's all "tongue-in-cheek" stuff and not mean't to be serious. The EK blokes know deep down in their hearts that the FB is far superior to the EK's       .

Nah,seriously I love both models but FB's are my favourite.

Throw up some photos of your EJ in the "other cars of interest" section if you want, we's be happy to see 'em!! 8) 8) 8)

Evil? Nah, its got a nice ring to it thats all.
Once I've pulled the J out of the shed i'll be sure to get some 'before' pics.
Sort of waiting on my bro to shift his EH down the hill to his joint.
Then work will start, can't wait to get back on the tools :o
