i want to paint my engine the same colour as the body on my FB ute. are you still able to buy enamel paint by the litre suitable to handle high engine temps? had a look at pressure cans today but the colours are not the same (monza red) as my car, does anyone have any advice please?

thankz

you can paint them with ordinary enamel or 2pak, if you do it 2pak make sure you like it cause it's near impossable to get off

i masked my machined surfaces then cleaned it with prepsol, then a wire wheel on a drill, then tidied a little bit up with a stone in a die grinder, then gave it all a quick rub with sandpaper, scrubbed it with a scourer and rust convertor acid, rinsed it with water and a light wipe with the scourer, poured metho over it all and wiped it with a rag in one hand and air gun in the other, the, wiped it over again with prepsol, then sprayed a light coat of 2k etch, then after 20 minutes i sprayed it with 2k hs primer, then left it in the sun for a couple of hours and then rubbed it all down with a fresh scourer dry, then dusted it off and prepsoled it again and sprayed 2k grey made from black and white and sat it back in the sun for a few hours.
ive had it hot a few times and there are no signs off damage from heat anywhere, i can also use alkaline or solvent degreaser to cleanit as much as i like and the paint doesnt, dull, streak or wash off like some of the spray can stuff does.
