Nice to see a web site dedicated to fb & ek holdens and not one of the hundreds of sites for the eh. Keep up the good work.
I am wondering if someone can help with my ek resto. I am trying to find out if the accesories on a grey motor were all painted in the same colour as the motor. eg starter motor, generator, inlet & exhaust manifolds, fan etc. Does anyone have any colour photos of the engine bay of an original ek or fb. Any help is most appreciated.

As far as I'm aware this are the colours - but stand corrected on these

FE-EK Lucas coil optional - aluminium with a black Bakelite top
FB-EK Bosch tin can coil - blue with red Bakelite top
Lucas regulators an aluminium cover
Bosch regulators a black cover
Distributor, starter motor - Bosch blue or Delco Remy black
Generator, oil filler, breather, harmonic balancer - black semi gloss
Gearbox bell housing, engine, fan, sump Grey
Engine enamel Dulux pre 73 formula, 393 10367 or Power Plus PP427
