Hi folks
Lori Lee here. The Twilight Hot Rod Show is coming up this Sunday, January 24 at the Rocklea Showgrounds.
It runs from 2pm to 8pm, there's a rockabilly concert with 3 bands (two from interstate), dozens of market stalls, fun trophies, food and drinks, free cool stuff for the kids, as well as the car display.
Entry price is $15 for all people, show car drivers pay $10, under 15s are free. There is free on site parking for non show cars.
There's some crazy rumour going around that it costs $50 to get your car in. This is odd, probably started by a slip of the tongue on a shonky mobile connection.
I've also received a bit of verballing on the $15 / $10 price. The Twilight Show is like a mini-festival and it costs a bucketload to run - event staff, site fees, insurance, security, entertainment, production, you name it - it all has a price tag. If I was a Lotto winner, I'd shout you all in, but for the moment, the show has to have an entry fee.
See you there,
Lori Lee

SunnyTim wrote:$10 bucks sounds like a Bargain to me Lori Lee, I get to see Theo, Mick, Rob, Mez et al, listen to some bands and it's 2kms from home. Now the only decision is "which car"Happy Days
No complaints from me
I want to be paid $10 if I have to talk to Theo
