Option 1) Move brake pedal and master cylinder to the left an inch or so or
Option 2) Remove spring and modify bonnet hinge , fit gas strut
Have a look here -

I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

I am going the same/similar way that Trev has but have been toying with the idea of just repositioning the spring by modifying the bonnet hinge and fitting the spring or an alternative spring between the hinge and guard.Haven't even looked at this possibility yet but thats what I'm thinking of doing so as to still have spring assisted opening/closing.Trev wrote:I used a Hk booster with an off set bracket plus abit of grinding and drilling and welding, I now have no spring on that side but didn't have to modify the hinge, Trev
.
I can't think what to write here so this will do.

G'Day one other option is rx2/capella Booster/cylinder. Bit of grinding on the hinge and you loose one bolt, but apart from a few holes in the firewall it bolts straight up to existing pedal. I took this of my rally car which used to run volvo 4 pot fronts and single pot rear and stopped well. This setup on the FB runs HQ front discs and hr rear drums and also pulls up well

The booster is 7inch at widest point, so probably close to Gemini. Was camping at honeymoon pool last week and got some supplies in Collie, so could of dropped a spare booster to you. Anyway have one here if you get up to Perth anytime. The master cylinder is 7/8 (could be same as your 929 one if 70s) and running disc brake rears it does bias a little to the rear which is good on a rally car ( theres a few dirt roads around Collie
). Some circuit racers use the same booster with a 1inch early Nissan patrol master which bolts up. I think there is a write up in the hopper stoppers web site.

Thanks Ben, been in shed all day ,Gemini booster is also 7inch, bracket on back was 85 mm out from firewall to booster. So cut down to 25mm & welded. don,t even have to diegrind hole in firewall even original mounting holes line up. next up hindge. If I use volvo master cylinder has to be right , what do you think. many thanks Wayne.

For sure go the volvo master, as you said, it will all be balanced. Your probably already aware but If its a ATP 4 spot caliper with two lines and you don't use volvo master. You only run one line to the caliper (block of other feed hole) and you need to drill a 2-3mm hole between the two outer pots
Anyway sounds like the gemini booster fits up well, you will have to throw some pics of the car up for us
