G'day all,
I've just picked up a vacuum washer pump and bottle which I am hoping to install into the FB wagon. Some time in its cloudy past it had one fitted, though only the jetted wiper blocks and bottle cradle remain...
I'm keen to find out what else is needed to get the system to go - vacuum lines, valves and connection points and anything else which may be on the 'need to know' list...
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Bear
You might have scored mine - I removed it to replace it with a motorised version.
If I remember correctly the vacuum source is teed into the vacuum line which goes from below the fuel pump to the wiper motor.
This line is connected to one of the pipes on the washer / wiper switch. The other pipe on the switch is connected to the top of the "gizmo" that sits on the washer bottle.
The outlet between the washer bottle cap and the "gizmo" is then connected to the washer jets.
All the lines are rubber.
Hope this is clear as mud - I have yet to figure out how the "gizmo" changes vacuum to pressure to spray the water.
You will also need a washer/wiper switch, as you say it still has the cradle then there is a good chance that you have the correct switch.
If not, this is your lucky day as I still have my old one and it can be yours for the price of two beers plus postage.

Thanks heaps Andrew - it seems all I'm missing is the switch and rubber lines to plumb it all up. I'll check that the pump diaphragm is OK before going to too much trouble though...
Might take you up on the switch when I return from holidays
Cheers,
Matthew

I have in stock the 100% correct rubber hose that I have supplied to many early Holden owners over the years. I also have a copy of the original NASCO fitting instructions.
Come to think of it I have multiple NOS vacuum washer kits.
