Stub axle query

Hi
I've scored a HR disc brake front end and in the box of bits that came with it are these stub axles and the steering thingy. I'm guessing they're HQ/WB - but can anyone confirm (or deny) for me please?
Cheers, Steved57

If you can measure the distance from the bottom most point of the stub axle flange to the centre point of the axle itself I can try and match it, measurement wise, in the morning, to either my HR stub axles or the HK to HZ axles I have here.
HK to HZ axle centres are in a different position to HR axle centres and the caliper bolt threads are positioned differently as well.HK to HZ stub axle centres are 17 mm ( 11/16 inch ) higher up between the ball joint bosses than the HR ones.
The arm in the photo looks ?? to be HR ??.

Thanks FB Mad. Sorry I didn't reply this morning, but we're an hour behind up here in FNQ - some might say even further!
I think I might have worked it out. I've measured as you've suggested, and both stubs - the one's in question and what I believe to be the original HR one (attached to the upper wishbone in the following photo) measure up the same - 46mm from bottom mount o/s to centre point of axle (or 22mm i/s).
Given that the measurements are identical (& the lack of caliper mounts - doh) it's struck me that the stub attached to the wishbone is a HR drum brake stub and the "stubs in question" are HR disc?
Would I be close? (I think I'm gunna regret that "further than an hour behind" crack!)

I'm sitting here ATM with one of my HR disc stubs and a HK stub to compare and I can tell by your photo alone without even measuring that you do have HR Disc stubs as per the ones at the top of the post and yep, the one still attached to the wishbone is a drum brake stub.

The Hk,t,g stubs have a crescent shaped indentation where a spacer sits between the caliper and the stub, so it ain't them, Trev

don't know if mine has the indent but i know it doesn't have the spacer and i've never seen one with them, so i've learnt something today

I'm yet to see a set without the spacer

where does the spacer go? i'm assuming where the 2 bolts hold the calliper on, inbetween the calliper and stub?

Yes, and they are a pain in the arse to fit

, I'll take a pic next I have them apart, Trev

From what I've worked out the Hk,t,g calipers are the same as Hr but the caliper itself has a spacer between the 2 halves as-well as the spacer where it bolts on, I'm pretty sure this is to accommodate the thicker disc of the Hk,t,g.
Thats my theory anyway

The spacer between the two sides of the caliper is only V8 as they had the thicker disc.

Ahhhh, I must have only seen the V8 version.
