diff suitable for brake conversion

If any one has or hears of a suitable diff for the disc brake converstion on a FB please contact me

Volvo 240
They are a Dana diff with discs standard, a little narrower than the banjo, Lokka setups avail from 4x4 Systems in SA for $500 odd and the old holden stud pattern.
I've seen them behind a blown 6 and a blown V8 all with good reports.

What are you using for front brakes and what stud pattern are you running ?
Probably easiest would be a VB-VK disc brake salisbury or a drum brake salisbury with VB- VR disc setup, of course how much power you'll put thru it will require a different setup.

i agree with stinky
volvo diff are strong as ,axels are the size of nine inch ones
will take a lot to kill one

EH drum rear will do for a stock red daily runner!

Volvo would be my choice if you are running any sort of decent power, with the ease of matching the stud pattern with a HR front end, and I know where there is one for sale (in vic), Trev

I'll be initially trying an EH diff behind a 307 when mine hits the road although it won't be copping any abuse so should hold up a bit.

Yep, A9X I think ?? and some optioned up UC Torana's had them Thommo.

Yep,
I have a DANA 44 in my appendix J car (Studebaker). It has 300RWHP (DYNO) and is a limited slip. I give it an absolute hiding and nothing has happened to it (touch wood).
I would recomend the volvo diff for sure especially if its a 44. They are in Volvo's Jeeps and even in some F100.
