Hahahaha Good one Rat, thanks too.
The 36 has a flatty in it that can take on quite a few small blocks, really healthy and a great colour.

If the 36' 5 window the one you're thinking of Mick..then I could date it back to when it was Yellow and owned by a mate of 'Ken'..never found out what happened to it..hav'nt seen Ken in 20 odd years!

That would be the one. Mates Dad bought it probably be 2 years ago now. He's done alot of work on the body, but it was a great starting point. Haven't been for a run in it yet as it hit the road a week or so ago, but it sounds great.

I think I may be able to give you some info about the yellow 36 coupe that was in Sydney quite a few years back.
The car was purchased by a mate of mine Charlie Trofa from a guy named Ken in the early nineties. Ken and his wife used to sell fox tails or something like that around the swapmeets. At the time it was yellow with a 283 small block and was an original 36 5window coupe.
Charlie completely rebuilt it. Bodywork done by a guy at penrith named Warren. Painting done buy a guy named Elvis.
It was painted Passion Rose. A maroon colour.
Car was then fitted with a 350 small block that came out of a dirt modified speedway car and a modified powerglide.
Charlie sold it in the late 90s and the guy that purchased it (Shane from Blacktown) moved to WA.
Have not heard of it since.
Bodywise it looked identical to the green one in the photo but I'm guessing they are different cars.
Cheers, Baz.
