I picked up this FB the other day in lou of payment for some carpentry work I did for a lady around the corner.
The work I did I quoted $1050. When the lady offered me the car for the work I nearly fell over.
I offered to give her $2500 on top of the work for the car as it is clearly worth it.
But she'd have no part in that, she said she was to old (86) to drive it and didn't need it anymore and would love to see it go to a good home.
I asked her to reconsider my offer of the money on top of the work and to think about it for a week to make sure it's what she wanted.
Well she rang me yesterday a week exactly and asked if I would still like the car, again I offered the money and again she declined.
Here it is

That is awesome, Grimbo

Very impressive that you kept offering her some money for it too. Well done and congratulations! I hope you got all the history and documents, if they were available.
Cheers, Andrew

Well I reckon that's enough of stringing you blokes along.
The start of this thread is all bulls%@t. I thought it'd be good for a laugh and get a few tongues wagging. Sorry in advance if I upset anyone.
I wish it was true. The true story is a client of my wife's owns the FB.
She inherited it from her late uncle who owned it from new. She has had it resprayed and retrimmed, quite a while ago now.
It is her daily driver, crashbox, drum brakes and all.
She brought around for me to have a look at the other arvo.
Well

,
I couldn't wait till 1/4/2010

Good gotcha !!! - Happy April 1st for next year..................
