Bucket seats

Post by EK283 »

Hi there fellow fans.

I would like some suggestions on bucket seats. What are the easiest to fit and what looks the best? Any one with photos ? I am full steam ahead on my project and am stuck with ideas on the interior. Its not going to be original of course so any ideas would be appreciated.
Have fun

HR Prem Buckets would be my choice, a mate runs them in his EK and they don't look out of place.
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.

Gidday EK283,

Check the interior in my ute in the gallery section. The seats were out of an early 90's Mazda 626 without the headrests. They're comfortable and cost $100 in excellent nick from the local wreckers. They look good if you are after a later style.Easy to fit with minor mods.

Regards Mark

Thanks Mark,
I will have to walk around the wreckers for a few hours hopefully this will inspire me. Your ute is glorious, did you have any dramas with rego and the V8? I am doing the chev thing 327, its just on the border line with the rta power to weight ratio but Ive done my homework and it should get through. Sure is a lot of work, hands are sore tonight preping the motor to assemble tomorrow hopefully.

Greg
While doing my chev conversion I made up brakets that fit to the original bench bolt holes to accept VN-VS seats but later changed my mind & stayed with the bench seat. Your right its a lot of work doing the v8 conversion but jezz its worth it :D

If you are interested in putting commordore buckets in let me know & I will try & find the photos of seats & brackets I had in my wagon until I put the bench back in.
Cheers
