hi guys another question for you all. im going to be fitting a 5 speed from a vk commodore to go with a 202 in my fb. have mocked it up a bit and as i thought was the case the trans tunnel is too small. what im wondering is do you guys normally cut through the channel that runs accross the trans tunnel on the body where a standard box normally bolts to. between where the subframe bolts up underneath. may sound silly but it seems to me this would be a major part of the strength of the body . i know id have to make up another channel but just wondering before i go chopping it up. also having trouble finding an engineer. whats happening with the rta website cant find anyone on there anymore. is kevin humphries still doing certifications cant find his number either. im on the central coast nsw thanks wayne

On mine we used a CRS tunnel (to clear a trimatic) and cut out the bracing. We then fabbed up a replacement to suit the new tunnel. Find an engineer first and see what he wants.
