Yep, VH 24 as Trev said.

VH 44's ( drum brake boosters ) came out later ( around EH ish or so ?? ) with VH 40 being the one for disc brake HR front ends.

thanks guys,

thats seems to be the general consensus from what info I've been able to scrape together from various websites ... but still wanted to get input from FB/EK owners.

cheers

A VH40 has a 9" diaphram housing and an output pressure of 1470psi........
A VH44 has a 7.5" diaphram housing and an output pressure of 820psi........
VH 44 made by PBR and available in many models to suit both disc and drum brake applications.

VH 40. Larger in diameter and generally more powerful than VH44 and also available in many models to suit disc and drum applications.

VH 24. The predecessor of the VH44 and the booster preferred by the restorer looking for the authentic 50's and 60's booster to compliment the perfect period under bonnet look. This booster is only suited to drum brake systems.
found this....

The VH24 is correct but VH40/44 is used as parts for the VH24 are almost non existant - especially the rubber diaphram.

G'day guys,

Long time reader, first time poster. I was looking at putting a booster on my EK (can be a little hairy at the moment). I'm pretty sure I have read mention of this company on here somewhere before, but Hydroboost in Victoria seem really good, so today I bought my VH40L booster and brackets from them. I'll let you know when I get it and put it on, but so far they seem like good blokes.

I got an email from one of the blokes from Hydroboost earlier this week.
They will be at the All Holden Day, so I'll have a chat with them then.

I've heard that the VH24 parts are pretty hard to come by? But this would be my preference I think.

Anyway, Im going to have a chat with them at the AHD and see what they say ...

cheers
Jamie.

Try Kevin 0418517886 he does the reproduction diaphrams from the original PBR mould - about $50.
Hydroboost may supply one as well but could be more ezpensive.
